An ARCHITECT will tell you he knows exactly what you want, but too often you end up with what he likes. This is often a result of the architect’s lack of stylistic range, and more importantly, a lack of understanding of your real needs.

The current bid process for remodeling is broken. It often costs too much time, too much money, and too much agony for both the contractor and the customer. This is primarily because there are a couple misconceptions that create serious problems.

In estimating, it is really difficult to get the customer and contractor on the same page, even with a set of plans. Let me start first off by saying some contractors do a terrible job communicating in general and this can be further complicated with poor paperwork and customer ignorance.

One of our projects is a new construction ground up mixed use building.  It is the first of its kind on Imperial Ave.  The building is noteworthy as it will have 3 floors, with a restaurant and retail on the first floor, the 2nd floor will have offices and also share with the downstairs of the two residential units, and the 3rd floor will serve as loft style master bedrooms for the rental units.
