Berkley Construction teams with Rebuilding Together San Diego and the North Park
Community Association to Improve North Park Homes

San Diego, CA - On April 29, 2006, Keith Berkley, master craftsman and owner of Berkley Construction, will serve as project manager of the North Park Rebuilding Together Day, a volunteer program designed to provide low-income residents with basic home improvements. The project will assist Pat Laughlin, a long-time North Park resident and community activist who has volunteered countless hours to local organizations over the last 20 years.

The goal of the project is to utilize various material and volunteer resources available in order to renovate Ms. Laughlin's home. The makeover will include a variety of exterior repairs, such as sanding and painting the home's neglected woodwork, front and back door repair, and replacement of the property's fencing. Additionally, the home's interior is also in need of renovation and will require Berkley Construction to rework some dilapidated plumbing and cabinetry.

North Park-based architect Phil Reyes will arrange the North Park Rebuilding Together Day remodeling plan, and work alongside Berkley to effectively delegate the varied tasks associated with the makeover process.

The North Park Rebuilding Together Day goes to show how a few simple renovations and home repairs can work wonders for the property value of a home, a process Berkley is very familiar with.

"Since Many homeowners are comfortable and well established within their neighborhood communities the best way to ensure their home's longevity would be to invest in property improvements and remodeling", he said.
